Orton Elegance: Amy Stevenson and Angelo Tsirbas were married in Luola's Chapel at Orton Plantation.
 
 
The reception was in a large tent pitched in the Plantation Gardens.
 
The groom wore a calla lily boutonniere.
  
Menus were folded into napkins at more than 150 places.

The staff of A Carolina Wedding, working with many vendors, coordinated a thousand and one details. These included furniture trucked from the bride's mother's house to create lounging areas under Orton's live oaks. All the table settings, including the menus folded into napkins at each of more than 150 places, were done "in a matter of hours that morning," said Tonya Boulware, owner of A Carolina Wedding.

my Stephenson is a North
Carolina country girl who lived in Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach while attending UNCW. When she was planning her September 2007 wedding, she knew she wanted to come home.
    Amy has made a name for herself in New York and Los Angeles, where she now lives, as a cutting-edge fashion designer. Her specialty is a line of “luxury” denim.
    But there was nary a pair of blue jeans in sight at her nuptials to Angelo Tsirbas, a Greek-Australian ophthalmic plastic surgeon. The wedding was a formal affair in Luola’s Chapel at Orton Plantation Gardens in Brunswick County. The reception was held in a huge tent overlooking the Cape Fear River on the Orton grounds.
    While a lavish affair like this can easily take a year or more to plan, Amy’s wedding came together with just eight weeks notice. A Carolina Wedding of Wilmington played the central role in pulling all the pieces together, consulting regularly with Amy’s mother and step-father, Pam and Robert Holding, and keeping the bride in the loop by phone and email. “She came to town one time” during the planning, said Tonya Boulware of A Carolina Wedding.

A marriage of cultures
      Guests from all over the world were treated to both sides of the couple’s cultural heritage. The rehearsal dinner was a classic North Carolina pulled pork barbecue, a first for many of those attending.
    Traditional Greek music and dancing was a tribute to the groom’s roots.
