Father Robert Kus celebrated the marriage mass in St. Mary Catholic Church’s historic sanctuary.
The wedding celebration drew on two time-honored traditions, of the Catholic Church, and the Marine Corps. The arch of swords is a tradition for officers’ weddings in all the military services. For Marines, it’s a symbolic pledge of loyalty to the newly married couple from their Marine family.
