“Vintage” was the theme as five Wilmington shops displayed their bridal and formal gowns at the Third Annual Cape Fear Wedding Show on Nov. 2, 2008.

Milliner Jan Wutkowski designed custom hats and headpieces to complement romantic dresses and separates from the Pat Dahnke designer line, appropriate for brides, bridal parties, and mothers. Jan’s original designs
are based on vintage bridal headwear from the turn of the 20th Century through the Roaring ‘20s, Hollywood glamour of the ‘30s, and the War years of the ‘40s. Accessories are from aMuse’s large collection of vintage costume jewelry.
Arrenda’s gowns are from Watters & Watters. Their line of formal gowns for bridesmaids and mothers
reflects this season’s trend toward dark colors, blacks and metallic fabrics with scarcely a pastel in sight. Arrenda’s models
are wearing headpieces designed and hand-made by Jan Wutkowski of aMuse Artisanal Finery.
