The economics of weddings

   As a wedding professional in the Cape Fear Region, You and your staff are cordially invited to the Winter 2011 Networking Luncheon sponsored by the Cape Fear Wedding Association.
    The program will be a presentation and discussion on a topic of importance to the wedding industry of the Cape Fear region.
    This event is a great opportunity for wedding professionals to get acquainted, swap ideas, share leads, make referrals and strengthen their business ties.
    When: Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011
    11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    Where: Hotel Tarrymore
    102 S. Second St., Downtown Wilmington
    What: Buffet lunch, catered by our host, followed by brief Association business meeting and program with audience participation.
    Program: "Marketing Through Social Networking." A panel of wedding vendors discusses how they use social media such as Facebook and Twitter to stay in touch with current clients and connect to new ones. With examples of what works and mistakes to avoid. Also, we'll introduce the new Convention & Visitors Bureau 2011 Visitor Guide, which includes the Wedding Association's co-op ad promoting Greater Wilmington as a destination for weddings. We'll have an opportunity for audience participation and feedback during our discussion.
    Enjoy a delicious lunch and an opportunity to network with fellow Cape Fear area wedding professionals. Name tags will be provided. Bring brochures and business cards to share.

    The buffet luncheon is free for one representative of each Cape Fear Wedding Association Member. Additional representatives of members, $20 per person. Non-members, $30 per person.
