The economics of weddings

   As a wedding professional in the Cape Fear Region, You and your staff are cordially invited to the Winter 2010 Networking Luncheon sponsored by the Cape Fear Wedding Association.
    The program will be a presentation and discussion on a topic of importance to the wedding industry of the Cape Fear region.
    This event is a great opportunity for wedding professionals to get acquainted, swap ideas, share leads, make referrals and strengthen their business ties.
    When: Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010
    11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    Where: Shell Island Resort
    2700 N. Lumina Ave., Wrightsville Beach
    What: Buffet lunch, catered by our host, followed by brief Association business meeting and program with audience participation.
    Program: "A Look Ahead: Prospects for the 2010 Wedding Season." A panel of Association members will forecast the year's trends, based on bridal registration data, early bookings, and wedding show attendance, including a sneak peek inside the new Wilmington Convention Center, scheduled to open this year. We'll have an opportunity for audience participation and feedback during our discussion.
    Enjoy a delicious lunch and an opportunity to network with fellow Cape Fear area wedding professionals. Name tags will be provided. Bring brochures and business cards to share.

    The buffet luncheon is free for one representative of each Cape Fear Wedding Association Member. Additional representatives of members, $15 per person. Non-members, $25 per person.
