All events listed here are open to members of Cape Fear Wedding Association. Any interested wedding professional is invited to attend any two monthly networking meetings as our guest before joining. The two luncheon meetings, in July and January, are open to non-members as well. The Association is intended to improve communication among wedding professionals, uphold the highest professional standards, and provide a guide to brides and grooms in choosing vendors.

Wednesday, July 22 Wedding Professionals' Luncheon Time: 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Place: Bluewater Grill, 4 Marina St., Wrightsville Beach. Program: "What's Up With the Travel Market." Representatives from the Cape Fear Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau will brief us on the current state of the travel and tourism industry, with emphasis on meetings and group events, including the all-important destination wedding category.
Catered buffet lunch. Reservations required. Admission free for Association members, $15 for additional attendees. Non-members, $25.

Wednesday, Aug. 19 Monthly networking meeting Time: 5:30-7:30 p.m. Place: WHQR Gallery, 254 N. Front St., Downtown Wilmington. Program To Be Announced. Public Radio station WHQR is marketing its gallery space for wedding receptions and other events, and will be showcasing it for our membership. Refreshments will be provided. In addition to visiting an important new wedding location, the meeting is an opportunity for wedding vendors to meet, greet and swap business cards. All wedding professionals are invited to attend two meetings as our guests before joining the Association.
