For couples planning to be married at the beach, or in the historic riverfront area in downtown Wilmington, traffic and parking may present a challenge.
For many downtown and beach locations, the only available parking is on the street, and that means feeding meters. On summer weekends, your guests may not find parking spaces at Wrightsville Beach.
If your plans call for large numbers of guests at a time and place where parking is limited, it may be necessary to charter a bus or trolley to get your guests from hotel to church to reception site and back.
An alternative is a valet parking service. This allows your guests to come directly to the site, rather than having to wait for a shuttle service.
If the wedding and reception sites are any distance apart, do your out-of-town guests a favor and mail or email them maps or driving directions.
Maps of the Cape Fear area, and driving directions to Wilmington, can be found in the Wilmington Today guidebook and web site.
