Tips for bartenders |
NC liquor laws
The last thing you want
to have happen at your wedding reception is for
guests to drink too much, and either create a scene or cause a traffic accident
as they’re leaving.
Good hosts plan ahead to minimize the negative consequences
of too much alcohol. Some ideas to consider:
- Use a professional bartender to control the strength and number of drinks
served, and if necessary cut off anyone who’s had too much.
- Arranging guest accommodations in the same hotel or within walking distance
of the reception minimizes the opportunities for intoxicated driving.
- A shuttle bus or limousine service, or an advance arrangement with a taxi
company, can guarantee guests a safe ride home or back to their hotel.
- Serving plenty of non-alcoholic beverages, and closing the bar before the
entertainment ends, will encourage your guests to enjoy themselves in moderation.
