New ‘Wedding Rings’ and ‘Wedding Cake’ designs for invitations and reply cards were introduced in 2009 and will remain available through 2010.

44-cent “Love” stamps in king & queen of hearts designs, and 44-cent “Celebrate!” stamp

After a rate increase in May 2009, the U.S. Postal Service is expected to hold the line on postage costs in 2010. Most multi-part wedding invitations still require 61 cents postage. Response cards typically take the new 44-cent stamp. Postcard-style RSVP cards take 28 cents.
The designs issued in 2009 for wedding-related mailings will remain on the market in the coming year. The 44-cent Wedding Rings and 61-cent Wedding Cake designs are specifically meant for invitations.
Another 44-cent design called “King & Queen of Hearts” is appropriate for informal invitations to wedding-related events such as bridal showers, rehearsal dinners and bridesmaid lunches. It’s actually a pair of stamps with two designs, both based on old French playing cards. For more casual events, there’s the “Celebrate” design.

Personalized postage
You don’t have to settle for what the Postal Service has to offer. Several new online services let you put your own photo on postage stamps!
Picture a little portrait of the bride and groom gracing the corner of your wedding invitation envelopes.
All you need is a digital photo, internet connection and a credit card. Upload your photo, use the vendor’s online tools to design your stamps, and provide payment. The stamps will be custom printed and sent to you by mail.
You’ll pay a premium. Personalized stamps cost about twice normal postal rates, depending on how many you order.
A special bar code on each stamp ensures it will be accepted as genuine U.S. postage. Some authorized vendors: photostamps.com and zazzle.com.
