In addition to photography of the wedding itself, many brides commission a formal portrait as a memento of this special time.
Your wedding photographer may be able to do your portrait; you may also choose to work with a portrait specialist.
Many specialized techniques are available to make the bridal portrait a distinctive work of art. These include traditional approaches, such as hand-tinting of a black-and-white photo, and computer methods that can give a photographic portrait the look of an oil painting.
One other cherished memory can be captured at this special time: a family group portrait. Set aside an hour, when everybody has gathered, to have a professional portrait photograper capture you all in your Sunday best or casual attire.
