Don’t need any more
kitchen gadgets? Fully stocked on dishes,
silver and linens? The traditional bridal registry may not offer you
many suitable gift ideas.
Here’s an exciting alternative: an on-line honeymoon
registry, usually offered by a travel agency. This allows you to select
activities or amenities you would enjoy. Your friends and family can
choose one of them as your wedding gift.
To be clear: this is not the same thing as those
invitations that suggest donating money toward your honeymoon. It’s just
plain tacky to ask your guests for cash.
But registering for a dinner for two in the best
restaurant at your honeymoon resort, or an afternoon in the spa on your
cruise ship, is just as appropriate as registering for china, flatware,
or crystal.
