Choosing a vendor |
Going beyond the call of duty
Cape Fear Wedding Association
For many wedding professionals,
the hard work starts before the customer even signs a contract. Preparing estimates or bids can
be a detailed and time-consuming task for a vendor.
When you have booked your vendor, it’s an excellent idea to let the others
you were considering know you’ve picked somebody else.
It’s not just good manners: it’s insurance for you. Vendors have been known
to disappear or leave couples in the lurch.
If you should find yourself having to find a last-minute replacement for a
caterer or florist or photographer, you may go back to somebody you originally turned down. You’re
most likely to get a sympathetic response if you had the courtesy not to leave them hanging after
you made your original choice. A simple “thanks” for a bid is always appropriate.
