Will you be prepared if any of a hundred and one possible things goes wrong on your wedding day? We recommend stocking a bridal “Emergency kit” that can keep a minor problem from becoming a major disaster.
Tonya Boulware of A Carolina Wedding offers these suggestions:
Superglue for instant repairs (e.g., a heel falls off, decorations come apart), double-sided tape for fixing hems, needles and thread, tissues, three sizes of safety pins, tampons, breath mints, dental floss, spot remover, and white washcloths for emergency clean-up.
Tyler Zwan, a stylist with Hypnotix Spalon, recommends cosmetic items in trial or travel sizes, including a mini hairspray, smoothing fluid, hand relief lotion, lipstick/gloss, mascara and powder (for soaking up tears!) and a handful of bobby pins.
Other items to consider for your kit: Band-Aids, buttons, scissors, your preferred headache remedy, antacid, emery board, straight pins, cotton balls, swabs, clear nail polish and polish remover. White chalk can mask stains.
