Communication: Letting your photographer know what you want

Photography checklist
A traditional photography checklist
-- like the one on this site or in our book -- can be a helpful guide
for planning your wedding pictures.
But experienced wedding photographers already expect to capture those
key moments, such as the exchange of rings, the first dance, the cake-cutting, etc.
Use your checklist when discussing your expectations with your
photographer. You should also give some thought to who you want to be in any formal group
portraits, as well as special friends or relatives you want to be sure are pictured in candid,
unposed images.
It’s helpful to supply your photographer with the names of those you
want pictured. Include last names, as well as your relationship with the person. Be sure your
wedding coordinator has a copy of the same list.
