Long before the bride and groom leave on their honeymoon, the paperwork needed to recognize the new alliance must be updated. Most organizations that send monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly bills or statements, such as utilities, banks and credit cards, include a change-of-address section. Just fill it out and send it back with your regular payment.

Voter registration (be sure to change your address at least a month before the next election)
Post Office (ask for change-of-address cards and forwarding service)
If name changes (including hyphenations) are to take place, be sure to change these records:
Social Security
Passport
Credit rating
Employment records (see your employer's human resources or personnel staff)
